Training Begins this Week for the 2011 PNG National Titles

Shuttle Runs
Monday saw the beginning of the training season for our surfers in the lead up to the 2011 PNG National Titles. We started off with a fitness training session which included aerobic, anaerobic training plus leg strength, upper body strength, core stability, flexibility and suppleness. It was hard work but really good fun and with a crew of about 25, we were stoked it went so well. We are going to do this twice a week for about a month and then move onto a more challenging fitness training component.

There were laughs and shreiks all round but everyone trained really hard and the waswas at the end was sensational in warm water, no wind, warm evening and full bright moon!!



There is a lot of excitement about the upcoming Championships and as this will be the first ones that we have competed in, we are all motivated and enthusiastic to train hard, work on technique and video analysis and try to put it all together out in the ocean when we get out on boards.
